SD-WAN bandwidth limits

Hello, I have a client that has a switch managed by their software company.  The bandwidth at modem is 320Mps down by 12Mbps up.  There are 6-8 connected devices.

Internet speed tests show 150ish down by 12ish up, depending on the device.  The software company says their settings aren't limiting the bandwidth.  In one of the trouble tickets, I saw this this config:

LAS-SDWAN-R1#show policy-map interface Po1.1690 | include drops
      (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/14230/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0
          Priority: 50% (9500 kbps), burst bytes 237500, b/w exceed drops: 0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/14223/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops/flowdrops) 0/7/0/7
LAS-SDWAN-R1#show policy-map interface Po1.1690 | include drops
      (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/14230/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0
          Priority: 50% (9500 kbps), burst bytes 237500, b/w exceed drops: 0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/14223/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops/flowdrops) 0/7/0/7
LAS-SDWAN-R1#show policy-map interface Po1.1690 | include drops
      (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/14230/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0
          Priority: 50% (9500 kbps), burst bytes 237500, b/w exceed drops: 0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/14223/0
          (queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops/flowdrops) 0/7/0/7
LAS-SDWAN-R1#

Would this not limit the connection during burst, like speed tests and report queries?

Thank you.

Hi ,

How was the speed test done ? via the dashboard or a client connected to the MX/MS ?

Hello Raphael.

The MSP said the speed at the VeloCloud firewall was showing 300Mbpsx10Mbps.  I don't have access to the Meraki dashboard to see what the switch is showing for speeds from the firewall.  Running speed tests from sites like speedtest.net show the around 150Mbpsx10Mbps range.  The VM application the company is using runs ok for general use, but anytime they do a search for a part or accounting GL information, there's a up to a 30sec lag for the data to show.
