With the use now by many ISP's of IPOE via VDSL is there any way to get the MX6x to work.
Previously i have put the Modem in Bridge mode and used the PPPOE config for the ISP's that support PPOE.
with IPOE being used there appears not to be a work around to get this to work.
Is there any plan for the MX to support IPOE behind a Modem in Bridge mode like it does with PPPOE
This is impacting the sales opportunities for Meraki from my point.
I don't know the answer, but Wikipedia is suggesting you can simply use DHCP on the MX.

If you enable Dynamic as stated it doe not connect. Seems like Mearaki do not seem to have that support baked into there Firmware.
Are you sure you are using the right VLAN tag for your provider?
Given that IPoE is frequently used to overcome the shortcomings of using PPPoE/PPPoA for multi source Multicast delivery (to multiple users), I would point out that trying to get an MX to handle multicast video distribution is unlikely to be successful as the MX range does not handle single source multicast video streams. You may get lucky.
Comparatively few US network hardware manufacturers "get" multicast as it is frequently implemented in most of the world; mostly they think it isn't important.
My solution is to place a third party router/security appliance between the MX and the VDSL modem/ONT, and split off the multicast traffic into a separate distribution network. Theoretically, one should be able to use Meraki switches to distribute multicast streams.

Not supporting IPOE is causing an issue. (Want to run the Modem/ Router only in modem mode only via Bridge mode as it is the most stable way. That way the modem does not crash / Run out of resources.)
Be great to have a workaround or even better have IPOE supported.
It is starting to make me look for other products which is a shame as the Meraki stack is great.

In a number of countries I have configured Meraki MX and Z3 appliances to connect to the ISP's termination point via a modem operating in Bridge mode (PPPoA). Meraki devices connect to modems configured this way, without issue. Most of the time I use the non-US version of the Vigor 130 modem (configured as a router in the US).
This allows additional ISP multiplay packages, such as VoIP and premium multicast streaming services, to be activated along with the standard internet connection, over a single physical connection.
Neither the Meraki MX nor Z3 appliances allow an IGMP-Proxy to be configured, which is unfortunate as many non-US premium subscription services require an IGMP-Proxy to be active, as well as IGMP-snooping on the switches.
Its 2020, and I had NBN recently installed, with my ISP (Optus)
They use IPOE.
I cant believe that Cisco Meraki MX still dont understand IPOE in their firmware.
The issue is not that NBN IPOE doesnt work.... its the constant disconnections in the stream due to something with the IPOE negotiation. The result in the Meraki Log looks like this on a Dual-Wan setup :

I had this issue all the time as well.
Agree Meraki need to get there act together and Support IPOE
I managed to get it to work by forwarding all ports on my modem to the Meraki MX6x behind the router. (all the ports i wanted to.)
If i put the Router in Bridge mode i saw the same as you are. In fact it killed my MX6x (2 of them)
Since i have done the Port forwarding, my MX6x has became stable and works almost like it should have.
Are you getting multicast IPTV (from an 224.0.0.0/4 source) to pass correctly through an MX?
Theoretically, the switches are capable of IGMP-snooping v2/v3.
Given a spare configurable switch, one may also split out the IPTV, VoIP, Internet IP packets ahead of the MX and route the IPTV packets directly to another switch downstream of the MX. It sounds clunky but it works in some countries where the ISP (usually a POTS incumbent) isn't able to set up an IGMP-proxy.
I initially did this to get around the problem, and it does work. For me since its effectively double NAT, I had issues with some servers sitting behind the MX64 so long term it wasnt a solution.

I have IPoE running on multiple networks with MX6x devices (NBN connections). You shouldn't need bridge mode imho. I've found with IPoE from the ISP, treating it like DHCP works best. On the Dashboard this is what I did and the IPv4 & IPv6 was auto configured from the ISP to the MX. Never got on a call with the ISP.
Security & SD WAN > Appliance Status > Uplink > Configure WAN 1
WAN Config = Enabled
Connection Type = Direct
VLAN ID = leave blank, I didn't have to change this.
IPv4 & IPv6 leave as Auto.
It takes a good 10 minutes sometimes for the ISP to issue the IP down to the MX, but the more sites I've rolled out IPoE has been a breeze since I just copy and paste those network configs and don't have to punch in convulated usernames and passwords for PPPoE
