QSFP 40GB ports on the MX450

To be able to use the MS450-12 switches as true aggregation switches between stacked cores, is there any chance we can get 40 GB QSFP ports on the MX450s to feed the MS450 40GB ports?

Therefore we can create a network path of 40GB between the MX450 and the MS450 and then continue the 40GB to stacked core MS355x each with 40GB QSFP ports?

The MX450 has a maximum performance rating of 6Gb/s.

I don't see any point in providing a 40Gbe link to it.

Understood, however with the MS450 only having 40GB ports, It would be nice to go directly from the MX450 to the MS450-12, and then aggregate from the MS450 to the other IDFs.

Whereas now, you have to go from the MX450 to a MS355 Stack then to a MS450-12 to branch to other MS355 stacks in the other IDFs.

Do the QSFP+ 40GbE ports on the MS450 not support the breakout cables that make one 40GbE port behave as four 10GbE ports?  We use them a lot on Force10 switches when connecting to Cisco switches that have 10GbE SFP+ ports

Actually found that unfortunately that won't be possible, so I agree it is remiss to not be able to directly connect them:
