Ports appearing multiple times with same IP address MX64, What is causing this

@netstart. This looks like you may have some type of layer 3 device behind the Firewall. Can you explain how all your traffic is routing today? Is the Meraki firewall the gateway for the network? What handles DHCP and what is your scope? Is it possible you have mutliple devices set with the same static IP?

This is the only device acting firewall and Gateway.  IP for couple of devices is set as static.

 

Other than that, its a very simple configuration with default settings.  These two Decices are having issues as they whitelisted on inactive port and 'normal' on active ports

The ports with the same IP address show as "down", so you are seeing the last IP connected to that port.

 

Perhaps the user moved between ports.  Perhaps their is an AP plugged into those ports and the user roamed between them.  Perhaps it is a VMWare cluster and a virtual machine moved between physical NICs.

 

There could be a million reasons,

This is very simple setup.  All these are wired connections.  Standard desktops nothing fancy.  MX64 is acting as DHCP server

 

Could it be a bug?
