Meraki vMX - Azure Replication

Hi All,

We have a customer that wants us to investigate Azure site recovery for their VM's. They will be replicating their VM's to another region within Azure.

My question is this, is it possible to replicate the vMX to another region, so that in the event of a DC outage I can failover to the other DC. This wouldn't be in a HA or failover configuration, more so the primary site has gone and we need to failover to the secondary site. The two sites will never be online at any one time.

Kind of a big deal

Re: Meraki vMX - Azure Replication

I don't know the answer, but would like to know for sure!

I think the answer is likely to be no.  The permissions on the VMX appliance in Azure are really screwed down.  You can't even stop or reboot the appliance!

The chance that you would have permissions to read its storage to replicate then seems highly unlikely.
