Meraki MX IPv6 Independent Auto or Disabled

I'm a little confused about the IPv6 "Independent" setting under Addresses & VLANs.
What exactly is the difference between Auto and Disabled when using two uplinks?

If you have two uplinks and want both to be able to carry IPv6 traffic (with failover), you would typically set Auto.

If one uplink should never carry IPv6 traffic (for specific routing / security reasons), you would set it to
Disabled.

The Manual setting allows network administrators to specify IPv6 addresses manually.

You can configure Manual prefixes if your ISP doesn’t support DHCPv6-PD or if you are using your own Independent Prefix space.  The MX will in turn automatically assign /64 prefixes to each VLAN as configured and available.

Hello. Thank you for the quick reply. What's confusing me is that if I select Disabled, everything still works. Therefore, the setting isn't exactly related to the function. What exactly happens in the background isn't documented...
