Meraki MX Cisco Anyconnect VPN Client - Network Name & Description Naming Convention Issue

Hi,

We're beta testing the the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client at two sites (MX & vMX) and noticed we're unable to identify the user name and/or device under Networkwide/Clients like we can with the current native Win10 VPN client. We use this often to audit or even just identify a user we're trying to assist. Normally we see the computer name and the actual user name, however with AnyConnect we get random MAC's and encrypted type user names. SEE PIC.

Anyone else seeing this or have any suggestions?

Thanks, Mark

MX 16.16 should post shortly and have some AnyConnect client name fixes. Hopefully that resolves the issues you are seeing.

I've noticed this too.  This bug seems to have been introduced in the last month or two.
