Hello Meraki Community,
We're experiencing a recurring issue with our MX95 that I’m hoping someone can shed light on.
Setup Overview:
• MX95 connected via WAN 1 to a multi-gig port on our ISP-provided cable modem.
• WAN 2 is connected to the same modem via a 1 Gbps port as a backup.
Issue Description: Periodically, the WAN 1 connection drops completely. During these outages:
• The MX95 remains powered but loses internet connectivity.
• After 8 hours, the MX95 reboots on its own and the connection is restored.
• Alternatively, manually power cycling either the MX95 or the cable modem immediately restores connectivity.
• Firmware has been updated to the latest stable and also the stable canidate.
Additional Notes:
• The ISP modem has already been replaced, ruling out hardware failure on that end.
• When WAN 2 is active (1 Gbps port), it remains stable and does not experience the same dropouts.
• The issue appears isolated to WAN 1 when connected to the multi-gig port.
Has anyone encountered similar behavior with the MX95 or multi-gig WAN ports? Could this be a firmware issue, port negotiation problem, or something else entirely?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
CP
