MX84 and SFP

Hello All,

AT&T is installing a backup internet for us. It is a 50Mbps BU / Fiber S14. This requires an SFP port on the Meraki to connect it to. We are using an MX84 which I don't think allows SFP for WAN interfaces. What should we do?

Any advice?

You can use a media converter.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

As @alemabrahao says, a media converter is the hands down cheapest option.

If your current Meraki licence is getting close to expiring, you could consider upgrading to the newer MX85.  This includes a pair of SFP+ WAN ports, which you can plug an SFP into.
