MX80 uplink speed cap

Does the MX80 support internet speeds about 250mbps?  Under the traffic shaping tab the slider bar has a limit to 250mbps.  Does this mean it is hard set to not go over or will it pass thru anything over this speed but just not monitor it on the dashboard.

Long story short I just had a new internet connection installed, 200mbps, with the opportunity to increase to 1gig.  If the MX appliance won't handle the extra bandwidth there's no point in getting a faster connection.

You are correct,  It is software limited to that maximum speed.

To support Gigabit you would need to jump all the way up to an MX250.

An MX100 can do 750Mb/s.

Thank you for the response!  Unfortunately the MX250 and even the MX100 are far too expensive for my application.

Getting noticed

So, I have a Z1 for years and hope it gets up for more until it's 10-years license ends 😉

My last broadband ISP contract was symmetric for 100mbps and traffic shapping was set to simple and 100mbps.

Speedtest.com tests could easily reach 100mbps.

My newest contract is 240/40, so asymmetric band, and then I went there and set accordingly. Speedtest.com tests, lots of them on lots of different servers and also using MacOS app, never gets higher then 60mbps.

Called meraki support and got only that it should never go that speed... just 50mbps as stated on PDF.

So... should I really trust on the GUI that says that the top speed of Z1 is 1gpbs ?
