MX68CW splash page

MX68CW splash page

I'm trying to get a splash page working on a MX68CW SSID. Whenever I have the splash page turned on, I get no access to anything at all. If I turn splash page off, then all works fine. I've tried it with MX68CW as part of a template and as a standalone network. Both give the same result.

I have logged a ticket for this but thought I'd ask here as well.

Thanks.

Can you browse to an http (not an https) page?

Makes no difference.

Is DNS resolution working (aka does nslookup work)?

Also is the SSID in bridge mode or NAT mode?

You don't get that option when configuring wifi on a MX68CW. This is all you get (it's actually a real pain to configure guest wifi on one of these)

Yup DNS lookup works fine.

Hi @superfly

Could you please toggle the values for "Captive portal strength" and do a test?

Are you definately using DHCP for your DNS servers (and IP address)?  If you have statically confingured your DNS servers then it might not work.

DHCP is just set to default. My access all works fine when splash page is turned off. As soon as I turn the splash page on, I can't access anything at all anymore.

With it set to "Allow non-HTTP traffic prior to sign-on" I can access HTTPS pages no problems but not HTTP pages. But still no splash page either.

Two Ideas.

1. Try browsing in Privacy Mode / Incognito Mode

2. Try updating MX65W Firmware (If Already not)

Well that explains it! I wonder why support hasn't been able to tell me this as yet? I logged ticket last Thursday, they got me to try some things on Friday. Then yesterday morning I chased it up and have heard nothing back.
