MX64 and MR12 - Teleworker VPN Slow Speed

Hi

I have an MX64 at our main site and a small branch office with 3 users using an MR12 which is setup as a teleworker VPN to the MX64. We are getting very slow throughput - file copies are no more than 800kb/s. The internet line at the far end is 70MB and our main office is 1GB.

I'm guessing the MR12 is probably the issue? Should I get another MX64 for the branch office to replace the MR12? Or is there something I'm doing wrong?

More throughput should be possible. Personally, I'd start troubleshooting first (e.g. sniffing, taking a look at retransmissions, duplex mismatches, etc.)

What type of connection does the branch office have and what sort of router?  Are transfer speeds between devices at the branch office fast? 

I would start troubleshooting by testing the wifi / LAN speeds then moving onto the router/WAN speeds before looking at the VPN connection.
