Want to get away from my current cisco routers that are supporting a verizon VPN connection. Checked into this years ago and Verizon couldnt switch over to the meraki for the tunnel because VTI was not supported. Has this changed anywhere yet?
What are you using a VTI for? Perhaps this might be better solved using a different technology.
Meraki does support IKEv2 now (used to only support IKEv1). VTI is typically based on top of IKEv2 (not always, but usually). Sometimes the "concept" of VTI (that of a tunnel interface) is simply mimicked by IKEv2, other times you need the tunnel interface (because the other end requires a 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 style security descriptor), or you are using a protocol that wants to see an actual interface.
