Local WAN configuration cannot be overridden on this firmware version

Current version: MX 14.40 Tried changing MX64 from PPOE to direct static IP and the MX still tried to connect via PPOE anyone seen this before just a heads up.

Removed MX from network and moved to new network and still it tried to connect PPOE

Reset the the MX and configured via local page still tried to connect via PPOE

It tries to connect via the new settings and if that fails it rolls back to the prior settings.

We could access the WAN static IP via Public Internet after the change but it would not connect to the Meraki cloud

The local status page should have reported an issue.  Perhaps it could not resolve DNS?
