Direct a URL over a certain WAN uplink?

I'd like to point a url to go out a particular WAN.

So something like example.com to go out over WAN2

Is this possible? We have a non meraki peer to peer VPN set up. I have tried making a flow preference for the URL to go out over WAN1.

We have a site that answers internally to the same URL it does externally using our DNS. We would like SOME of our facilities to only access the URL externally. IE not using the VPN. I know we can change DNS but that would affect company-wide.

Thoughts?

An entry in a local hosts file on the computers that you don't want to use your DNS's answer should work.

I'd like the MX to do the work if it can? Managing 100's of host files will be cumbersome.

Is this not something the Meraki can do? We came from Fortinet and they had this option.
