Friends,
I am pleased to say I have just completed the (online) ECMS2 course with two great Meraki guys @DavidLowe and @
Rafaelmarta who were brilliant in the way the delivered the course.
The 3 days we fast-paced, with a very heavy first day, with the second two days just as busy but with more lab content.
Unfortunately, the content does duplicate many things that are covered in the CMNO and CMNA courses but this is a small price to pay for the rest that is covered.
Next stop is to take the ECMS2 exam which is not ratified yet, hopefully towards the end of the year.
I am hoping this will also allow me to add some additional value (time permitting) to the community, of which I am passionate about supporting, where I can.
I know many of you are trying to get on the course, (I waited over a year from first applying) but I understand that they are going to be offering it via external partners in the future which should allow more people access to it.
Regards
Gary
Oh-are Oh-are Oh-are me arties........
Nice, congratulations! Also look forward to the Meraki exams 🙂
I'm hanging out for the exam to be released.
Hey Gary!
Thanks for the kind feedback, it was excellent to have you join me and @RafaelM on the course.
I think you are right in that there is some duplicated content. That said, the future of our courses is really exciting as we have completely re-tooled them to a point where we can make better and better iterations.
For example our new CMNA course focuses a lot more on the Pre-sales / positioning of Cisco Meraki products, while ECSM1 (aka CMNO) and ECMS2 can focus more on the technical / deployment aspects, and at the same time cover the relevant materials for the standalone exam.

As Gary mentioned, we are hoping to roll ECMS2 out to our Cisco Learning partners, which means more of you can join (without having to wait a year like Gary!) and the content may also be localised for the country that it is presented in.
Hey @GaryShainberg
Thank you for sharing your experience! I hope your initiative will drive more of the community members into our ECMS2 course.
It was a pleasure to have you, and it will be awesome to see some of the other guys from the community there as well!
Good luck on your next step (exam)! Keep us posted!
Thanks for the feedback and yes, as soon as we can take the exam I will.
I hope we will get a couple of go's as there will be a gap between the course and the exam 🙂
