Remote desktop (VNC) issues with mixed standard/high definition displays

We have been getting more and more laptops with the high-definition displays, and we have been noticing that when these are connected to regular definition monitors and we remote in, the mouse/click action is a few inches off where it should be... so there seems to be some tracking issues when the focus is moved to the high-definition display.

I have not seen anything posted online about this issue as of yet, but I'm guessing that this will become more frequent of an occurrence as laptops and monitors get replaced...

Lenovo X1 Yoga (High Def display 2560x1440)

Viewsonic 27" (standard 1920x1080)

Viewsonic 24" (standard 1920x1080)

All connected via a Lenovo OneLink+ docking station

I'm not sure if it's a combination of Windows 10's "Scale and layout" option which it defaults on some machines to 150% or 200%... Either way, I'm thinking that the VNC client and/or mirage driver should some how be able to determine and compensate for the display enhancements...
