I want to install free apps to IOS without a prompt for appleid Password.

IOS 12.1.4 IPads

Pretty green to this and use it so sparingly that it makes it difficult to remember what I am doing each time. I don't understand why the end user is prompted for a password for the applid when I am pushing the install from the meraki dashboard. I manage them. Why are they asking for that on install? That defeats my purpose and I should just give the teachers the creds and allow them to run amok. I'll look forward to the knowledgeable letting me know what I missed. Everything shows compliant.

Kind of a big deal

I think this link will help:

So basically the problem is probably that the devices are not supervised.

Here's more info about iOS enrollment:

Make sure you are having your licenses assigned via VPP or ASM or ABM.  It sounds like you are doing device based licensing as well.  Just make sure on the apps you have that checked off too
