I am able to log into the account, but when I try to add this hardware I get an error pop-up that says 'invalid response'
I tried to use the app on my android device as well. I scanned the QR code, but when I click the "Next:Review Scanned Hardware" button, I get the same error - invalid response.
I'm kind of lost. The device seems to connect to the internet, at least I assume that's what the solid green LED means, but maybe I'm wrong there.
Anyway, I tried pressing the reset button for 20 seconds and letting the device come back up, but that didn't do anything either. I'm not sure if the device needs to be connected to the internet before it can be added to an account, but I tried with it connected and with it not connected. I can't think of anything else I can try. Is this a hardware issue, a license issue of some kind (I thought that these didn't require a license, but maybe I'm wrong)? Is there another way to get this device added to my account? Is it possible that the device was claimed? I read that in that case the error would clearly state that it was claimed, but again, I'm rather new to these devices, so I'm not 100% sure about that.
I also tried adding the hardware from a second phone, same result. So, the PC, and two phones all say the same thing. I also tried uninstalling the app and adding it again in case this was some kind of update issue - same error. I also entered the serial number manually - same error.
