Hey y'all, guess what?
Three new Catalyst Wireless LAN Controllers are now supported in the Meraki Dashboard!
Like what we've seen with other recent product launches, the power of Catalyst and the simplicity of Meraki continue to merge and manifest in exciting, demonstrable ways. This time, we're supporting the "Merakification" of these Cisco WLCs:
• CW9800M (mid-scale)
• CW9800H1 (large campus with 4x 25G uplink ports)
• CW9800H2 (large campus with 2x 40G uplink ports)
All three controllers can operate in cloud-managed hybrid mode (Cloud Managed with device configuration), providing seamless integration and streamlined management directly from your Meraki Dashboard. The minimum software version required for these controllers to operate in Meraki Dashboard is IOS XE 17.15.3.
What do these devices look like when in hybrid mode, you ask? Don't have a giant wireless LAN controller to play around with yourself at home? Well, me either 😅 But Launchpad 🚀 does, and Cisconians and our partners can check out our deployment to get a solid look and feel for themselves. Head to cs.co/mlp, get into the Launchpad 🚀 organization, and you can find our C9800-L-C-K9 (which has the same cloud-managed feature set as the aforementioned models do) in the "Cloud Monitored Wireless" network here.
Oh, and before you leave, enjoy a small collection of documentation to get you acquainted with how to cloud-manage your supported WLCs:
