Servicenow - Meraki Integration Issue - Asset Creation Failure

We are experiencing an issue where assets are not being created due to two conflicting model categories. When the Meraki integration runs, only CIs are created, while assets remain empty.
Background:
We have a manually created model category called "IP Camera" with the asset class "alm_hardware".
During the Utah upgrade in September 2023, a new model category called "Cameras" was created by the system.
Since the creation of "Cameras", CIs created through the Meraki integration have not been able to create assets.
Questions:
Can we delete the system-created model category "Cameras"? We want to retain our manually created model category "IP Camera" with the asset class "alm_hardware".
Once asset creation is restored, is there a way to recreate the assets that were not created previously?
