Real time traffic monitoring

Hello, does anyone know how can I monitor real time traffic using Cisco API?

Real-time traffic monitoring sounds like a use-case for Netflow or syslog from the device itself, and not through the cloud.
What is the outcome you are trying to achieve?

We want to monitor the device's traffic through the use of an API, without using a VPN, is that possible?

Real time not, just  traffic analysis.
