Looking for Android testers from the Meraki community for a monitoring app (non-commercial)

Hi all,

I’m building a small personal Android app that pulls data from the Cisco Meraki API and gives a quick overview of network health. I’m looking for around 20 people who actually run live Meraki networks and are happy to give some honest feedback.

This isn’t meant to replace the official Meraki mobile app. It’s more of a quick-and-dirty view so you can open it and immediately see if anything is broken without digging through the dashboard.

The app is currently in Google Play testing, so it’s installed normally through the Play Store and covered by Google’s usual protections.

As part of Google Play’s testing requirements, I need to add testers by their Google Play account email address. If you’re interested, just message me with the email you use for Google Play and I’ll add you as a tester. Once that’s done, you’ll get a Play Store link to download the app.

You can use it in two ways:

Sim mode, which doesn’t need any credentials

Live mode, which uses your Meraki API key and Org ID

API credentials are stored only on the device and talk directly to the Meraki API over HTTPS. Nothing is stored or forwarded anywhere else.

What I’m really looking for is feedback from people using real networks:

Is the overview actually useful?

Is anything noisy, misleading, or missing?

Would you open this for a quick check, or would you still just jump to the dashboard?

If you’re interested, send me a message and I’ll pass on the Play Store testing link.
Happy to answer questions in the thread as well.

Thanks.

Kind of a big deal

It might be hard to find people at this time of the year.  You might need to be patient.  🙂
