Add 'productTypes' to existing Network - API

Hi

Is there an API way to add the 'switch' product type to an existing appliance only network.  I know adding switch serial numbers to the network automatically adds switch in the network drop down, but is there a way to add it in advance of switch serials being added?

You would need to create a network of "switch" type, and then combine it with the existing network.

Thanks for the information.  I think they should add it as a feature to be able to add product types after the initial network creation rather than create new then combine, its a long winded way to achieve the same result.
