API for number of failovers

Good Morning guys,

Is there an API for the number of WAN failovers that occurred in a 24 hour period?  I have the MX68 with 2 WAN ports with the ISP plugged into INT 1 and a Cradlepoint device with a cell SIM in INT 2.  I would like to know how many failovers happen within a time frame.  I have over 750 MX68s on our network.

You can monitor the status of the interfaces, but not how many times failed-over from one interface to another. Have you tried monitoring via SNMP?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

There is an event log event type for Primary Uplink Status Change that you could use. I assume that your primary interface is WAN1. An event will be generated upon failure and again for when it is restored. The event type to filter by is failover_event.
