API Development Sandbox

I have a couple of ideas for some API development, that I'd love to fiddle with, however they tend to require a bunch of devices. One solution would be to wait and see if a large order is placed and use that, but I suppose I'd have better chances in winning the lottery.

I'm wondering if there is a sandbox with a sh**load of dummy devices, which has full API support? As in, 1000s of MXs, switches and APs. In my case, the sandbox would be mainly used for academic purposes, with some fraction of it have real-world usecases.

Does such an API Sandbox exist?

With switches being an outlier, most API calls do not require a serial number, but a network ID or an organization ID.
You can add 1,000s of networks to your organization and make all required wireless/MX configurations. Since you're not adding actual devices - you don't need any more licenses.
