WAN appliance is unable to reach the VPN registry

Hi team,

VPN registry issues. I am admin for 5 organizations and when i navigate to Organization VPN status, i see an alert on VPN.

As on below dates for all 5 organizations, the connectivity was down

Aug 28 04:02 – Aug 28 07:08 IST WAN appliance is unable to reach the VPN registry

The strange which we felt is that for all the 5 organizations where we have altogether more than 2k networks this alert appeared at the same time.

We have browsed through meraki public available links, but nothing stated. So thought of checking here.

I suggest you open a support case.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Out of curiosity , how or where did you get this alert for VPN registry ?

Hi,
So when we navigate to Organization -- VPN status page, we would be able to see available networks.
In that section there is a connectivity bar. In that for this particular time period all the networks are showing as Red.

that's what I thought. There are no built-in alerts for this event , you had to manually check the page.

What we would like to know was why at the same time it affected 2k+ networks across 5 organizations.

We believe this could be a VPN registry issues at Meraki end.
But needed to get some information from Meraki team

Have you already opened a support case?

It sounds like something Meraki were doing on their end.
