Split devices at a single site to different templates?

Greetings,

  Have APs and switches in one site, currently using the same template.  I'd like to put the switches on a different template before they go into production.  The switches are a PoC, but the APs are production.

  Looks like 'Split' button in the current template is the answer, but looking for the real-world answer- one that doesn't impact production APs.

Why not create a new switch template within your network template, and then apply that new switch template to your switch?

  Thanks for the reply.  That kind of answers the question- I suppose a new template is the answer.  I'll be able to try that soon- than ks for the feedback- much appreciated!
