Device Status Icon

A simple question, from a noob. In the dashboard, I have some clients that I know are connected via my AP, yet their "status" on the dashboard shows a green port, not a wifi icon. Why would the status show a wired connection when these devices are only capable of wifi connections? Is there a way to change that icon to reflect the true connectivity? Meraki AP is hardwired to Meraki switch port 8.

I presume you are seeing this with in the Network Wide clients section?

Are your AP's Meraki? If not then technically to the switch or MX they are "hardwired"

Kind of a big deal

Does it show those clients when you change the drop-down in clients list to "only access point clients"?

Is all the Meraki kit in the same network in the dashboard?

I realized shortly after I posted that all those clients are through my old Apple Express that is hardwired to Port 1 on the switch. So, you are spot on. Thank you!
