Tl;dr? We made two tweaks to the Meraki Community platform to improve the user hover on member names & the homepage header carousel. Details follow.
One: Readily view the first and last names of fellow community members.
If you enjoy knowing more about fellow community members, we’ve added additional information to the user hover—first and last names. Members set their first and last names in their Meraki Community profiles for their names to appear.
Here’s an example of what it looks like for users:
Want to display your first and last name to community members on cursor hover (and on your user profile)? Go to the upper right-hand corner of the page and click your user name; from the dropdown menu, select My Settings:
Next, from the My Settings page, select Personal > Personal Information > and add your first and/or last name in the fields. Make sure to click << Save >> when done—see example below:
To disable the feature, follow the steps above to remove your name from the first and last name fields. Click << Save >> when complete.
Two: Rotating carousel on homepage header
We added auto rotation to the homepage header carousel, so you can more easily find featured news and updates. The carousel rotates on four second intervals, and now features a pause-play button:
We hope you find these new features useful—let us know in the comments.
