Can we use meraki mx64w-hw as an access point?

Can we use Meraki mx64w-hw as an access point?

Can we setup under the same network as the below:

1*Meraki MX68(Switch)

1*Meraki MR44 WiFi 6 Indoor AP

1* Meraki mx64w-hw as WiFi 6 Indoor AP

Do have 1 Meraki MX68(Switch) and would like to setup the AP with one Meraki MR44 & one Meraki mx64w-hw

Is that a possibility?

Thanks.

You cannot have two different MXs in the same dashboard network and an MX64w cannot fully cooperate with an MR.  You could however set up a second dashboard network to put it in and set the same wireless settings and turn off NAT.  It still has to route, but could work.

The MX-w will not have any type of integration or information exchange with the MR, in short it will operate autonomously.

The Wifi configurations of the MX are more limited than the MR, so depending on what you want to configure there is a possibility that it will not work with the MX.

MX Wifi is recommended for small offices where there is no need for more than 1 access point.

In short, avoid mixing environments with MX and MR Wifi.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
