Can MX64W manage MR42 and/or CW9162?

They can exist together, but the wireless on a 64W will need to be separately managed (in the Meraki cloud) from the dedicated wireless APs (also in the Meraki cloud dashboard, but a separate section.

It is better not to mix them as they have very different capabilities, but it can be done if you are careful.

I have a Meraki solution consisting of 6*MR42, MS220-24p, and MX84.
I would like to upgrade step by step,

I have been recommended to use CW9162 instead of MR44, but I have a question: Is it possible for the MX84 to manage both of them in the same Meraki cloud dashboard

Also, I would like to connect my branch office to the MX67W, but I want to make sure of its compatibility with AP MR42 and CW9162, is it possible for the MX67W to manage both of them in the same Meraki cloud dashboard? in case extend Wi-Fi connectivity on second floor.

You can mix any MRs and CW Meraki access points in the same network.  It is best practice to have all WiFi 6 or newer, but it will work well even with some old ones.  The CW range is newer than the MR range and all new APs will be CWs, so you have correctly been advised to go for them.

The integrated wireless in the small MXnnW firewalls does not integrate with any of the MRs or CWs and is intended where you don't need extra APs.  They can be used together if you are careful with the settings, but clients will not seamlessly roam from an MXnnW to an MR or a CW, they will drop one, then associate with the other.

Also the management is in the cloud dashboard, the MX does not manage anything else, it is managed from the cloud just the same as MRs and CWs are.

What I understood from your words is that MX84 or MX64W have no relation in managing anything, and their management is in the cloud along with APs. Also, in the case of connecting an AP to MX64W, seamless integration for seamless roaming will not occur. However, you can manage both in the cloud: MX64W with MR42 or CW9462?

Yes all MXs, MRs and CWs can be managed in the cloud together 👍
