Cloud Monitoring - PoE consumption

Hello Meraki community 🙂,

I have a dashboard with 79 Catalyst in cloud monitoring,

I wanted to know if we were able to monitor the PoE budget / consumption of those switches ?

Indeed we can launch Terminal and do :

SWITCH_CLOUD_MONITORED#show power inline

But I was searching for a more programatic solution to gather and monitor the 79 switches PoE budget / consumption,

Any thoughts on this point ?

Thanks a lot team !

Kind of a big deal

It is on the "Power" tab for the switch.

Programmatically, I would take a look at this API:
https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/get-organization-summary-switch-power-history/

Hey Philip,

Thanks for your feedback,

My concern is on Cloud Monitored Catalyst switches :

I can't find the Power tab for those devices

The screenshot I supplied was from a cloud-monitored C9300 ... This particular one was running IOS XE 17.9.4.

And the screenshot I am providing is from Cloud Monitored C9300 in IOS XE 17.9.4a (not Cloud Managed),

So what I am getting from this, is that the Power tab is not available for Cloud Monitored switches, but only for Cloud Managed

My mistake.  I meant to say cloud-monitored, not cloud-managed.  My screen shot was from a cloud-monitored C9300.

Thanks for the feedback Philip 🙂,

So on your side, for a Cloud Monitored switch, you are able to see :

- Summary tab

- Ports tab

- Power tab

- L3 routing tab

- Event log tab

- Location tab

- Tools tab

And on my side I am able to see:

- Summary tab

- Ports tab

- Location tab

- Tools tab

- Config history tab

How can we explain this difference ? On MS switches I have the same view as yours, but for Cloud Monitored switches I don't, no matter the organisation (Meraki demo org, my customer orgs, ...)

Not that it helps much, but for the 1 customer who currently has cloud monitored C9200 and C9300 switches we only see the list of tabs you get (ie. I don't see a Power tab either).
