There is now a new left menu item named Assurance—the hub for all tools and pages within the Assurance paradigm:
Assurance Overview
The new Assurance Overview page gives you a convenient, at-a-glance dashboard to quickly check the health of your network. It brings everything together in a unified experience, making it easier for network admins to maintain a high-quality experience for end-users. On the user side, it ensures they can securely and seamlessly access the network with minimal hassle. The page also features predictive scoring, which helps provide a clear, consolidated outlook on your network’s overall health. You’ll find modules for Clients, Network Devices, and Applications, so you can dive into the details that matter most. And if you need more help, the Assurance Overview Knowledge Base is there for additional resources and support.
Alerts
The alerts in the Meraki dashboard have been updated with a new backend framework, making it easier to deliver more efficient and relevant alert information across different parts of the dashboard. You’ll find the Alert Hub at the network level, where you can view alerts specific to your network. For a broader perspective, the Organization Alert Page shows all alerts across your entire organization, along with some helpful metrics to highlight which networks might need attention. These updates streamline how you manage alerts and give you the insights you need to take action quickly.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Along with the new alert framework, we’ve also introduced a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) framework to help guide your troubleshooting efforts and minimize MTTI (Mean Time to Investigate) and MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve). This new framework will host intelligent RCA workflows, which are being actively developed by our product teams and released as they’re ready for production. There are multiple ways to access the RCA workflow, but no matter how you enter, you’ll always end up in the same module. When you click on a “Take Action” or “Details” link, you’ll be taken to a side drawer where you can start the RCA process. From there, you’ll have two tabs to explore: Alert Details and Suggested Actions, guiding you through the steps to resolve the issue.
