Is 16.16.9 already outdated? Its status is showing as critical as of the 28th of February, even though it's still listed as latest stable on the overview page. Haven't updated to 17 yet since lots of people have been having issues. 17.10.4 might be good now but I'll still like to wait a bit. Edit: Just read the two replies above. Still seems weird to mark it as critical, at most a warning seems more appropriate.

Hey, we're a school using Shared iPads for our students. I've set the ResidentUser setting to 5-7 users depending on the iPads storage. Occasionally I get an iPad that won't allow any more logins, neither users nor guests. It shows an error message like this: Not enough storage available There is not enough storage available to add another user to this iPad. Wait until all users are synchronized or contact your admin to free up storage. Waiting obviously doesn't help. And being the admin, I don't seem to have any tools available to free up storage. My only recourse seems to be to wipe the device. Looking at the Apple developer website, there seem to be commands available to list the user accounts on the iPad and also to delete them: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/list_the_user_accounts But as far as I can see this is not implemented in Meraki. @PaulF, is this something that can be added? In the meantime, does anyone have other ideas?

Hey @PaulF , thank you for the explanation, I didn't realize the timezone setting wasn't a payload. That kinds makes it worse though, since as you said, you can't go the alternative route through Apple Configurator. I know you said you made a strong case for it to be added now, but it would be nice if, in the future, features like this would be added in a timely manner. I think this setting has been available for 1-2 years now. Knowing that makes having to go through dozens of iPads to set the timezone/enable location services even more frustrating. I've had colleagues asking if we can switch to JAMF since there's a few other similar cases were MDM features just don't get added or are very late to SM. It doesn't seem like SM is a priority for you guys.

Hey all, I'm planning to install a MR76 outside. I have a pair of MA-ANT-20 for the 5 GHz radio but plan to leave 2.4 GHz unused. The question is how to cover the ports. Meraki recommends n type dust caps and I've found this older thread (https://community.meraki.com/t5/Wireless-LAN/MR74-with-a-single-antenna/td-p/48792) were someone recommended 50 Ohm terminations. Can anyone say which of these would be appropriate? Would this work: http://www.bkl-electronic.de/en/product/0404053 And are these weatherproof?

Are you not using Apple School Manager? If you are and have it setup correctly, the iPads should have a list of the classes and the students are able to just pick out their name without having to enter their emails. Thank you but that seems to be a different issue. Syncing isn’t the problem. It‘s just that after syncing the updated profile doesn‘t automatically get pushed to the devices.

Hey, our iPads have education profiles installed that are synced from ASM. Now, when I change/update something in ASM, I can manually sync it the dashboard but as far as I can see this does not trigger an update of the education profile. Is this right and if yes, intended behavior? Because right now I have to change the something in the profile (e.g the name or description) to trigger an update which doesn‘t seem like the most elegant solution. What am I missing? Thanks

Hey, I'm having trouble getting WebClips to work on Shared iPads. According to https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/webclip they only support the user channel. So I've tried the following: 1. Added a "test" tag to a student account in the Owners section. 2. Created an Apple user profile, configured the WebClip and scoped it to the "test" tag. 3. Logged into a Shared iPad using that student account. But the profile never gets installed. If I check the devices logs, all I get is "Install profile command enqueued" but nothing further, not even an error message. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
