Not entirely sure I'm thinking of the right thing, but you can look here for registered users on your network: Network Wide -> Users Select the SSID. There is a list of usernames, when they registered, who authorized the registration. Not sure if this is what you were after.

What type of SSID are you using? You might try swapping to Layer 3 Roaming if you're not already using it. (I use regular Bridge mode, but Layer 3 roaming should help for an application that is sensitive to roaming)

The following layout should work for the conference room: By using the MR-52's' throughout the space we will have excellent coverage due to the 4x4:4 radios. Separate SSIDs could be created for each space in order to segregate traffic, and allow for the Location Analytics to be used in each space, based on the proximity to each of the APs. Thanks to the built-in intelligence of the Merakis, no manual RF configuration would be needed, as the APs will auto-select the most appropriate channels to produce the least amount of interference between spaces. The rest of the Meraki dashboard will allow the center management and group organizers to view the performance of each network, using the Wireless Health section. The location analytics provides great insight into overall attendance, plus the ability to see numbers in each partitioned area (as long as the APs have been pre-tagged). Who doesn't love seeing everything every user is viewing while we're at it? Using the clients page we can get a general sense of what people are doing. Are they all bored to death and watching Netflix? Or maybe you're showcasing a new app, and everyone has downloaded something from the app store?! (Hurray!)

One guaranteed method of making this behavior happen on an otherwise perfectly functioning laptop is to attempt to connect to a UNC path (i.e. \\server\sharedprinter). As soon as a user tries to do this, their Wi-Fi connection will drop and the unusual behavior will begin. This part stands out to me - how are your clients authenticating on the network? RADIUS? I would check your configuration for the APs in that building. Otherwise, do the laptops with problems use the same wireless chipset? It could be a driver issue.

I haven't tried before, so decided to give this a test just now. I'm guessing I have a similar issue. When I click export I get the following: It's been sitting there for a good 15-20 minutes now. Haven't had time to look, but I'm guessing my firewall is blocking it in someway. Will get back to you when I can. Edit: E-mailing the report works fine in the meantime.

All MRs should share a license, so if you remove the MR16 and replace with the MR42 it should work fine. https://meraki.cisco.com/lib/pdf/meraki_datasheet_mr.pdf Very bottom of the page shows the license codes, which are just for MR access points.

As Adam mentioned, confirm the configuration of the port the AP is connected to - also if you are serving the DHCP on a specific VLAN, check the configuration on the AP itself: Wireless -> Access Points -> Specific AP -> Lan IP, is it set for DHCP and the correct VLAN?

So I ran into a similar issue with my Juniper equipment when I initially started swapping over to Merakis. The Junipers had a version of Air Marshall enabled, and were directing de-auth packets at my Meraki network, which the Merakis were picking up as a spoofed version of the network. Not sure if you have another wireless system co-deployed, but it might be something to investigate. No one here even knew we had the Juniper Air Marshall enabled... was fun to track down. I used a cell phone and tracked signal strength, and it was strongest near some of the old APs that were still enabled and broadcasting, so then had to dig through settings on the old system.

As far as I'm aware, the regulatory limits for Wi-Fi only allow a maximum output of 1W for 2.4GHz and 4W for 5GHz (it varies by country, though I believe these are the worldwide maximums). Looks like one is generated every time the device roams - most likely related to 802.11r: Adaptive since you mention it seems to be only iPhones.

Hi Dario - you can check on your "Firewall Info" tab (Help -> Firewall Info) to see that the Merakis would like UDP port 123 open for an NTP connection, mine doesn't show a destination (just "Any" destination). I believe there is no option to select a specific NTP server.

After using the wireless health yesterday to attempt to resolve a latency issue - I would like to suggest that there be further information available in the Wireless Health - Packet Latency tab. Seeing the average latency per AP is nice, but doesn't provide enough information to do much with. Similarly with the device types, and especially when the AP shows a high average latency, but the device types doesn't come anywhere near that value (where did the missing latency go?). I would like it if I could choose an AP from the Packet Latency page, and be shown more information about the specific clients that are contributing to the displayed average.

Thanks - I did look at the documentation, but it really doesn't offer any help. 802.11 frames is vague to say the least. Does it check the latency of every single frame? Are there specific latency frames it is using to test with? I've been running a ping against a machine connected there for the last hour, and the highest latency I've seen is 17ms. Yet the AP still shows an average over 700ms.

Could anyone let me know how the Packet Latency is determined in the Wireless Health? I have one AP in particular that claims it has this crazy latency all the time. I haven't been out to the site to check on it, but I haven't received any complaints from the users (they are usually good about letting us know about issues). I've run some of the ping tests both from the AP to a connected client, from the AP to the internet (using the default icmp.canireachthe.net, and 8.8.8.8). Neither come close to reaching the latency shown below (~200ms & ~30ms respectively). I've also checked latency from servers to the clients on the AP, and have no latency issues there (sub 5ms from local servers to the clients). None of my devices show latency this high, and none of the other APs either. Any ideas?

The MX64 in site B is configured in NAT mode. The MX64 in site A is in passthrough mode. I think this is the answer to your question - if the MX64 in site B is in NAT mode - you shouldn't be able to ping through it. Since anything on the inside is translated to have a single IP. Edit: I've never used AutoVPN - the fact that you have one in NAT mode may be completely irrelevant.

I was having a similar issue on my network, with 2 specific devices (laptops, not phones). In my case it was a firmware upgrade that solved the issue, the machines were seeing up to several hundred failed connections per day. I assume the devices are probably updated, so this probably isn't helpful, but thought I'd offer my experience with it.

From your description it sounds like this: Core -> Sw 1 -> Mx -> Sw2 -> APs In which case it seems that the topology would be accurate if it shows the left leg as having the Switch closer to the Mx and the Core farther away.

Since the Meraki is in NAT mode - it knows which devices it is performing the NAT on, but the firewall on the other side only sees the traffic from the Meraki that has already received the translations.
