Hello Group,   I came across a problem and all point to the Meraki unless it's by design, in Apple iOS for MDM (Supervised devices).   I created a profile settings that push CardDAV accounts and info to devices, it works for 2 years without a problem. Then I when and edit that profile and voilà! the problem started. I can no longer push that profile to devices. Every time a device receives the profile, it will ask for the password. The point of creating a MDM profile is I don't want to give away the psw to users.   I use a single Google Workplace account, that I sync with my Exchange public folder internal contact (using my Outlook with CalDav Sync). So I can manage a one-way sync between the server and all users, no one can modify info beside admin on the network. Sync is done every hour, so they are always up to date.   After spending 2 hours on the phone with Google, trying to flex the user login/security process, because I thought it was Google that was blocking multiple connections and not being able to do it, I turn myself to another CardDav server and I choose MGX (Free) configure my outlook sync, all contacts are on the GMX server, create a profile, push the profile, work as expected !!   Now I edit the profile so it will have a nicer name, ask for psw to remove, etc.... push it back.... device now ask for a psw !! Same problem came back... create a new profile, push to the device, work... ?!?! Now I don't touch it.   Now where is the problem ? On Meraki side or in the iOS that refuse to receive the psw for an existing installed profile ??   Anyone had that problem ? Hi,   I've beeing using a shared Google account for the past 2 years. In that account, I put all the contacts names that we share at the office. On our Exchange server, we have a share folder with contact. Using CalDav Synchronizer I sync one way that folder with a Google account.   I created a mobileconfig file with Apple Configurator (with user/psw) and created settings profile and loaded that mobileconfig file. I push that to my iOS devices (used to work like a charm!)   Yesterday, I needed to restore a device and assign it to a new user. It ask for the CardDav psw and generated a Security Alert on Google, even if I accept this activity as my own, It won't work on the device, contacts are no longer available on the devices.   ALL of the others users also lost those contacts... can you image the problem today, none of the employees can see any internal, suppliers, customers contacts...   I know I can't use the Google Account settings as it won't push the psw and I can't give away the psw to users, for obvious security reason !!   2 step verification is OFF each time I accept the suspicious activity, but it keep poping each time I reinstall the profile settings. I have to reinstall it each time, because once I click Cancel on the psw dialog on the device, it won't retry. And only once I press cancel that I receive the suspicious notification, So allowing it prior is not an option.   1- Why did it work for the past 2 years and stop ? 2- Any idea who to get it back ? 3- Any other cost free solution ?   Thanks ... Hi,   I have this problem for years. Devices are supervised, I created a settings and what to allow 4 digit passcode, this is what I setup.       Minimum length 2 or 4... is not working, the user must enter a 6 digits passcode, on the device, user doesn't have the option to go from 6 to 4 digits as a none MDM device do.   Is there another settings somewhere else, maybe in restriction, that cause the behaviour ?   Thank you,   JF     ... Hi,   I just open an old iphone 5S that was enroll last year and was left in the drawer.   I then update the Meraki app to the latest version and sync it with the current settings and profile we have setup for this kind of device.   When I go in Settings> General> Profiles> and choose MDM Meraki management >More details >Sign Certificates   I see that the *.meraki.com certificate expired Sept 16-2016...    Why ? and how to fix it ? I'm only assuming that this certificate was installed at the same time the device was enroll, so all of my device should have that problem, since all device are out of the office.   Thanks     ... Hi,   Why can't we add a webclip to a page layout profile, or maybe I'm missing something ?   When I try to add it by typing webclip... I have the option of selecting the app com.apple.webclip and I did, I see the paper clip icon on the page layout. But it's not asking me what webclip I want.   In my case I only have one webclip installed on the device and it's not working, it's not where I asked to be put.   I tested with the webclip on or separate page layout profile, same result, it never offer me te select the right webclip.   Maybe it's not possible ? Maybe iOS restriction ? I know you can edit the page layout in Apple Configurator, in the process it go fetch the device installed apps, it's not in a profile... ... View more

Hi   I know it's a free MDM solution, but where do we get real help when a feature is not working ? Where do we report a bug? Where do we suggest new feature? (Is the Make a Wish at the bottom really works ??)   Using iOS device.   Is anyone been able to push an ActiveSync Exchange account using the "use device owner" ? in my case, it not working, the profile never get send to the device. The work around is to create each user with a profile and push the information in that profile. But the bug is why it's working on some and sometime it ask on the device the password for the Exchange account. (The same profile is push on my test  AND personal device perfectly, but not on the user's device ??)   For VPP app, I have my account sync with Apple VPP service, reload cache data, and I have all my apps listed in my VPP account. Now I go into the MDM>Apps menu and I add what ever apps that I need to push.   Why is that in the Apps menu, updated apps are not updating also in that section. In my case, the app have been updated, new icon, new name, but it's display the old icon and name. It get updated on all devices and new data are up to date, but not in my dashboard. App use the same app identifier (See picture).   I know if I delete the app from the list and add it again, it will show the new look, but this will force all device the uninstall it and reinstall it, losing any data the user may have on is device associate with that app.   New app old app   Thanks ...
