Some smartphones do not see SSIDs

Good afternoon people.

See if anyone can help me. I have a network that I climbed these days with 25 MR34. There are some smartphones that do not find any of these APs.

I suspect it can only be the endpoint, since I have 3 dozen connected endpoints.

What can I check in the management environment and what can I do on the endpoint side?

I appreciate the opportunity within the community.

You should try dual band operation.

However you have to check your rf profile. That one is leading.

Hi @Flamengo19

Have a look under Wireless Health as a starting point.

What happens if you fire up a test SSID and tweak the data rates and protocols?

Check your band selection config, for those SSIDs.   (Wireless > Access control)    If they are set to 'Dual band operation with Band Steering' try 'Dual band operation (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)'.   Some devices use passive scanning, which can cause issues like this  (see the end of this doc:  https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Radio_Settings/Band_Steering_Overview )

Im with @GreenMan on this

Another option is that you somehow disabled the UNII-1 channels and that this clients only support UNII-1

The select option is Dual band Operation with band steering with can see.

Yes.

I did a factory reset on the APs. The 2.4Ghz frequency was disabled. Only endpoints that work at 5Ghz were able to connect.
