International Warranty & Support

Hello,

We are a US based company with branch offices around the globe. We have been advised that we can bulk purchase our equipment from US, and have them sent to the various branch offices around the world. The hardware equipment consists of Meraki Wireless AP, Gateway and switches.

My questions are:

1. Will this work?

2. If so, how can the subscription license be purchased?

3. What happens with warranty & support. Does Meraki offer international support?

4. Is there any potential issues with WAP potentially running different radio types in difficult regions around the world?

Thank you

I don't completely understand 1) and 2) because a) why shoudön't it work and b) what does licensing have to do with where you are using the products?

As for 3) and 4):

3) Yes, please see

4) You can set the regulatory domain for APs using the Dashboard:

I agree with @CptnCrnch here. Just bear in mind that the RMA included in licenses is a standard process so you might want to consider buying additional units as spares without a license or check our Meraki Now. Most of my cases are usually handled with a spare inventory so I do not have hands on experiences with Now regarding geo coverage and stuff.

Just don´t ship to my country but let the local players handle the units for you 🙂

Be aware that it could be needed to pay import-taxes in the destination country for the gear.

Note that by buying the AP in the USA and then shipping it to remote regulatory domains you are going to have to convert every single one of them to that regulatory domain.

Also note the duty can be quite steep shipping to some countries.  You may find it cheaper purchasing in country.
