Inter VLAN communication

Hi

I have an MX65 configured with 4 VLANs (1681,1682,1683,1684) - basic setup 192.168.1.x/24, 192.168.2.x/24, 192.168.3.x/24 and 192.168.4.x/24 - the MX IP uses .254 for each subnet. Each subnet configured to provide DHCP using a pool .100-254

Trunk connection to a switch from MX. Switch is 24-port with 6 ports allocated to each VLAN for wired connections

MR55 is configured with 4 SSIDs - each SSID is associated to the VLAN - e.g. SSID-1 = 1681 (192.168.1.x) SSID-2 = 1682 (192.168.2.x) SSID-3 = 1683 (192.168.3.x) and SSID-4 = 1684 (192.168.4.x)

Wireless clients get IP addresses within each SSID

Why can't a client in SSID-1 connect to a service in VLAN 1684 ?

This should be just simple internal routing between local VLANs/subnets

Is there something missing?

Have you by chance got the MR firewall configured to deny local LAN access?

Yes that was it - many thanks and apologies for the newbie question.

PS. still can't work out the MX trunking issue, have a switch between the MR55 works, going direct to the MX it doesn't. Will raise to Meraki to see what the issue could be

Try a different trunk port and make sure the native VLAN is set. Just for giggles.

Thanks for the suggestion but tried that previously, same result.

Factory reset worked. BUT. now a second MX recently purchased is doing the same darn thing! Something isn't right so pushing this back to the distributor
