VPN Connection error 789 after update

Last night my PC rebooted for Windows updates and now I am getting error 789 trying to connect as is one developer (his did the same thing).  Worked great before the update.  We do have access to the AnyConnect beta, but then we lose complete access to our local LAN which is rather annoying (at least to me).  None of the VPN settings changed, I've rebooted and rebuilt the VPN connection multiple times.  Is it time to look at replacing the client VPN with something else just to finally get rid of it since I've never been very happy with it since rolling it out?

This will be fun to implement when IT isn't my only role here.....
