Directly connecting the MX Gateway to the HFC NBN modem in Australia

Has anyone had any issues with directly connecting the MX Gateway to the HFC NBN modem in Australia? Performance is far worse than connecting via the service provider modem (in my case Optus).

The primary problem is intermittent packet loss, which causes all sorts of issues with interactive streaming, VPNs etc.

be great to get some feedback as to whether anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

Thanks

Perhaps call tech support and ask them to check the line?

What kind of internet connection is on the HFC modem vs the Service Provider modem?

If you have packet loss and the MX works on the optus internet line i would think the problem resides on the side of HFC NBN?

Not sure how internet is arranged in Australia?    line => Modem => MX ?

If you could get us some more technical info about your setup we might be able to help out a bit more

Regards,

Ben
