Systems Manager - iPad Shared Device User Timeout

We use Systems Manager to managed Shared iPads in our environment.

Our Shared iPads lock after 2 minutes regardless of the User Session Timeout setting that we implement for the device.

We have a New (out of the box) iPad 10 which we setup with Shared Ipad settings. We applied a Settings Profile with  User Session Timeout set to 900 seconds (15 minutes), however the device locks after 2 minutes of inactivity. This 2 min lockout behavior is same across all our Shared iPads.

Has anyone experienced this?

Anyone been bale to fix it?

Thanks

B

Hi @Brendan5inaRow

This is completely by design. The policy that you're setting is a *maximum* time that a user can set before the device auto locks.

Users can, at any time, go and change this in Settings on the device to a greater value

Setting is not exposed in Shared iPad mode

Here to help

The iPads have a "lock" timeout - default 2 minutes.  Find this in SETTINGS --> DISPLAY & BRIGHTNESS --> AUTO-LOCK

I would be very surprised to see a way to control this with Meraki ...

Setting is not exposed in Shared iPad mode in location specified. Wish it was

This is not something that is controlled by meraki SM. It's a limitation of Apple:
