Looking for examples of how & where people use Insight, not seeing the point of it

I'm struggling to see the point/find a use case for Insight and wondering how others utilize it. Everything it supposedly tells me is already accessible via the Dashboard (or the API, for a top-down view of the Organization as a whole).

Granted, the fact that we're set up as a full-tunnel spoke/hub deployment with local internet breakout only allowed for HTTP/S traffic to zScaler's datacenters might be part of the issue...but still, interested to get others' thoughts on it.

How are you using Insight? Does the recent addition of ThousandEyes tests (never mind that they require their own licensing on top of Insight....) change your impression of it, affect your use cases?

Hey ,

To be honest and I don't want to trash on MI , but I feel like the improvements / addition of new features are pretty limited.

Web App Health -> If you are using a proxy , this is probably pointless. Only supports 443 and 80/http on other ports

WAN Health -> To be this is the best feature of MI. Speeds tests are a nice addition , but can't test the upload.

VOIP Health -> pretty much useless since this is sending ICMP probes instead of UDP/RTP. So this isn't really testing 'VOIP'.

I personnaly wouldn't recommend it , unless you need a feature.

I have one customer who uses it to measure the performance of an app in their DC from their branches to help understand how it is performing (or rather, help understand when it is not performing).
