Counting specific mac addresses when they enter and exit wifi range based in RSSI value

Im trying to work out if there is a way to log the traffic from specific mac addresses that come within range of a single AP. I am trying to count the number of times a staff member comes and goes from a store so that I can use the counts to exclude them from an overalc customer count from a video people counting system.

Is this possible?

I'm not sure if this will work, but if you also have an MX and the access point is behind that try going:

Network Wide/Alerts/<scroll down to>Clients connect or disconnect from the LAN

And add your client.
