Single Android Phone Alerts User to No Internet

I have a single user that has admitted to having a really old Android phone.  Throughout the day, he notices that he drops off WiFi and his phone will alert him there is no Internet, although still connected to WiFi.  Again, this is just one user and this happens at all the locations that he works at.  He is connecting to MR33s at all locations.  No other Android or wireless users have noticed this.  I see nothing in the logs to be able to troubleshoot.  At one location, the AP is less than 10 feet from his desk.  This just started when we moved to Meraki from ad-hoc Aruba networking. ... Re: Meraki with no access to Internet on WAN interface

We just need firewall/ACL.  Currently, we are firewalling at corporate using ASAs.  Since we have servers at the remote site, I would like to put a  firewall at the remote site instead of firewalling at corporate.  I have a server and a few pcs at the remote site.  Currently, I just have a layer 3 switch at the remote site.  One VLAN for my network and one VLAN for the remote facility network(connected to their firewall).  Right now, anything at the remote site can hit that  server and PCs but my corporate LAN is firewalled.  I have purchased ASAs to place at the site, but a VAR was on site last week and asked that I look at the MXs.  It sounds like if they connect to Meraki via the WAN interface, Meraki will not work for this scenario.     ... We connect to the sites via Layer 2 private fiber, so there isn't really a way to VPN. We would have to VPN to ourselves. ... View more

Meraki with no access to Internet on WAN interface

I am contemplating buying some MX boxes for some remote firewalls.  Our current setup is that the WAN will be a connection to another business without Internet access.  Internet access is accessible via the LAN interface.  Is this possible?  Basic question is must the MX communicate to the web via the WAN interface? Default route will go out the LAN interface, with only a couple specific route statements going out the WAN interface.  ... View more

Re: One AP disconnects when another AP is disconnected MR33

These are in two physically separate offices.  The offices connect to my main site using metro Ethernet.  Wireless networks are VLAN trunked across all my sites and are not on the corporate LAN.  The APs have power but the SSIDs are not visible to the users and show offline on the dashboard.  The APs are connected to SG200 switches so, I have little visibility other than the device is online. Next week I plan to move one of the APs from the SG200 to an HP ProCurve 3500 with POE so I can see if there is any traffic trying to flow. ... View more

One AP disconnects when another AP is disconnected MR33

We purchased a bunch of MR33 APs to cover all our offices.  We have two remote offices, each with one AP.  When I unplug one AP, the other AP goes down.  I noticed this when I deployed them.  I unplugged one of them at my main office to deliver to the remote office.  When I did that, the other AP went off line.  When I plugged in the AP at the remote office the other AP came back on line.  I have 25 APs and these are the only two that seem to have that behavior. ...
