I meant nothing has changed on the office side only change is at home. and i have updated the public ip of the home network on the office MX Have you tried a packet capture on both ends to see what comes in on both ends? no, i will try this and see Is the office MX behind a firewall? no, as mentioned before nothing has changed this side The new home provider could be blocking UDP 500 & 4500 connections. they just came back to me they are not blocking any ports

I had the same issue before, check if there is no upstream device doing natting? For me it was our dlink router doing the natting, so i had to make a change on the DLink router and it worked

usually the mac address is not part of the columns, so all you need to add this by clicking on the + It will ask you to select columns, put a tick next to mac address, then it will appear in your columns. then click on Download as, and choose the format you or XML

this is exactly what the setup is like. I have asked the quesion and it turns out that on port 2 of the ISP switch/router is where you get the RFC1918 space address. On port 4 i have a public ip range and i can configure it manually and it is working thank you

i am using it now, with the MX NAme, doesnt work. so my connection is like this.. Internet - ISP Fibre router - MX MX gets a dhcp WAN address from the fibre router of 192.168.0.0. Public address starts with 196. LAN address is 192.168.20.0 how do i get this working

I keep getting "The L2TP connection attempt failed because of the security layer encounted a processing error during initial negotians with the remote computer. My shared secret is correct. The service is enabled, My ISP says the ports arent blocked Under uplink configuration my Public IP and WAN 1 ips are different. what could i be missing

Imagine a school hall with students from different grades and everybody is shouting their agenda at the same time. Vlans are like classrooms for each grade. Only the relevant information for that grade will be shared 🙂 for different classroom grades to speak to each other they need a Principal (router on a stick/Layer 3 switch) to help facilitate comms

Hi Team If i wanted to provide my town with public wifi how would you go about it MR84 mesh network? has anyone done a similar setup you advise would be greatly appreciated The wifi will be for the general public I cant even tell you how mant users will be connected at 1 time, but for argument sake lets say 5000 I just need to know what type of setup, what ap what antenas i hope i make sense

Thanks for the feedback. It is alot of gues work as you say. And i have decided to have hot spot areas which will its own internet. since i am using 1 Dashboard the SSID will remain the same, but the AP will cover its area only for the users to be able to download the Customers app

Hi Team Thank you for the great advise, some of it went straight past me. I ended up designating 2 hotspot areas. Client had 2 activation areas for their customers to come and signup and download their app. One last point or question. I hope the below illustration makes sense internet -->Huawei B618(LTE-A Router)--->>MX64---MS120-24P----MR42 x62 Not to many people connected at the same time so i didnt have too many issues, but the next event there will be many more users and more activation areas. Speeds here for LTE-A range from 10-50Mb. just that the LTE router i am using has a capacity of 64 clients so is this another bottle neck i might have? I am thinking of clever and efficient ways to set this up, any ideas welcome

You guys are legends, so much valued information Now i am kinda scared to do this event as i do not want to crash and burn, This is my first event and want to showcase Meraki and Purple wifi for splash page and analytics. please ask the questions and i will answer as i am available right now. you guys are very help full.
