The licenses are device independent (some are model specific, but none are tied to the serial number). If you can buy the devices in Russia, then you can get licenses from outside and apply them.  I'd test first though as the country may block management traffic or it may be an offence to use the VPN. ... If everything goes off at once you should get only one alert per network per device type.  We actually use these alerts when the power comes back to cross check that all downs have an up!  Easier on a phone than going to the dashboard or trying to use the Android app ... View more

Hi Bala,   If you need to upgrade them all first but don't know exactly where they will all be deployed initially, create one network, add them all in and then when you go to the firmware upgrade page mentioned by @BlakeRichardson  you can just select this one network and they will all upgrade.   To add them to a network, first create a network from the top left option as below:     Then give it a name, make sure you choose combined and tick the box at the top of the inventory list to add all devices   I   If you do know what goes where, then simply create one network for each location (or however else you might want to divide them up) and then you can upgrade each network.   Don't worry too much about getting it perfect first time, you can rename networks and move devices between them easily and unless you have an MX set up as a VPN concentrator for SDWAN, your users wouldn't even know.   Cheers,   Charles ... Which antennas are they, the bendy dipole ones on the datasheet are 3" including the bend so I don't think they'll be much better than the stubs, I couldn't see a decent 6" one.  That could well be the problem... ... View more

Looking at one of the antenna's datasheet, the lead comment is as below:   Dipole (MA-ANT-3-A5/6) The Dipole antenna is ideal for low ceiling installations where wall penetration or extended reach are important. Some example uses are low-density deployments like schools and hotels to provide basic low-performance connectivity. These types of best effort deployments usually have APs installed in the hallway to cover adjacent rooms. ... View more

If they do move over (but only when the signal has completely gone) you can reduce the radio power of the APs so the coverage overlaps less.  As @PhilipDAth  said, if they are truly legacy, like some of the PDQs we have, then they see each SSID on each AP as a different network so the only option there is to have a different SSID per AP and set up a profile on them for each, they might then move. ... I know this is slightly off topic, but by installing a single PSU configured device to pass through both connections, aren't you damaging the viability of the HA setup?   We have the same as you have at each of our sites, except we have two separate 5-port layer 2 unmanaged switches, one on each ISP connection.   That way you maintain the availability whilst also allowing the use of both connections at once.  We used Cisco SG110 models and each one was less than half the cost of an ms-120. ...
