Hi Lemist, you may have read this document already but a one-armed concentrator is typically deployed at the DC with the Branch sites auto-vpn'ing back to it:   https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Deployment_Guides/VPN_Concentrator_Deployment_Guide   Does the third and fourth bullet point answer your query?  It learns its route via autovpn peers and advertise to EBGP peers and vice versa. Route Advertisement Behavior Routes are advertised to EBGP and IBGP peers in the following conditions: A VPN spoke will advertise all of it's VLANs or static routes that are allowed to participate in the VPN through IBGP to its configured hub. A VPN spoke will learn routes advertised to it by other AutoVPN peers. A one-armed VPN concentrator will learn routes advertised to it by other AutoVPN peers and re-advertise these IBGP learned routes to EBGP peers A one-armed VPN concentrator will learn routes advertised to it by its EBGP peers and re-advertise these EBGP learned routes to other AutoVPN peers via IBGP A one-armed VPN concentrator will advertise local networks which are not directly connected and are configured on the site-to-site VPN settings page via IBGP ... Morning All   Have many carried out this integration as I’m trying to figure out the wherefores and whys?   If you’ve already deployed Umbrella to your endpoints why would you then look to integrate your Meraki network with Umbrella?   Which Umbrella licensing would you need to integrate as it’s done via API, is Investigate required?   Does the Meraki dashboard display Umbrella statistics?   How far can you go with the deployment, full AD integration on the Meraki side so you’ll get reports that employee Dave on his laptop has had Malware blocked and this will report into a single Meraki dashboard? ... Good Afternoon all,   My names Darren O'Connor and I'm a network consultant at UCcert (CMSP).   We recently undertook a network refresh at a Secondary School during February half-term.  The schools network was originally built back in 2010 as part of the UK governments BSF (Building Schools for Future) programme.  The equipment deployed were Cisco 4404's and legacy catalyst switches.  As part of the BSF deployments the schools were flood patched so we're talking a lot of cables and a lot of switches!!   This isn't the first BSF replacement we've done and one thing we'd noticed is that the network was totally under-utilised.  We spent months auditing the network and checking port status's and traffic.  From our findings we discovered that we could remove nearly 60% of the existing switches and cabling.  This was great for the end customer and us as the first quote they'd been given was a full like for like replacement from another partner 🙂   We ended up deploying Meraki MS350's at the core with a blend of MS225's and 220's at the edge.  This design kept the cost down also as the ideal solution would have been a full stack of MS225's.  For the wireless we went with MR33's due to cost but the customer has noted a remarkable difference in performance as the original AP's were only a/b/g.   So after pulling out over 2000+ cables we only had 5 issues on the first day back of end users not having any connectivity.  We had done a full walk-round post refresh but some had clearly slipped the net.   Blazing speeds Happy cabling engineer Out with the old ... Hi, I would say if you don’t feel comfortable with the number of known bugs/issues then hold off or propose another device.   Ive read the 390 data sheets and they specify VRRP is supported whilst the Warm Spare release notes don’t mention the MS-390’s.  I would go with what’s in the ms-390 datasheets.  The warm spare release notes clearly haven’t been updated. ... What’s shocked me are the number of companies that seemed well under prepared for such an event. I understand that this is an unprecedented one but why are companies still using desktop PC’s which has left them scrambling for laptops. I’m always mobile anyway so take this for granted I guess!   I’ve seen firewalls crumble under heavy utilisation and their IT departments trying to implement split VPNs to take the strain off the concentrators.  Why spec a firewall for a couple of hundred of connections when there are 1000 people in the company?   LinkedIn is full of stories of home endpoints being utilised for remote access. Stick a VPN client and job done!  Not long before said stories are replaced by “we’ve been breached”.   Tough couple of weeks and more to come but they’ll be lots of lessons learnt for many. ...
