Hey Guys, Looking for some kind of suggestion for putting the Cisco Meraki Wireless solution for a very large Caravan Park up to 35 acre park. The problem is that we don't have any wiring infrastructure. We are planning to alteast get some underground fibre work done, but not sure at this stage. Any recommendation or suggestion for putting the wireless for such a big caravan park. Does someone has done this already, so that we can see how this was done. Thanks

@AjitKumar I am not asking to compare from the price point of view or from the point of view of management. I just wanted to know when it comes about security, which is better Cisco Meraki MX or SOPHOS (XG/UTM) Firewall. Is there any award or something has been awarded to Meraki MX to be a best firewall in the world. Is there is any such document or information on the public domain, which client can go have a read and decide itself.

@BlakeRichardson The problem is that I have SOPHOS Firewall not MX. The other option i was thinking to put these Meraki Cameras in Management VLAN. As I have just two more switches in this VLAN and its easy for me to put these Meraki Cameras into this Management VLAN.

@EJN Well, I dont see such option on the SOPHOS Firewall. I have only one VLAN for LAN network, I can add Meraki Security Camera in the same LAN network, i have no issue what IP they picked. As i will be monitoring them from the Meraki Dashboard. My only concern is that if i will put the Meraki Camera in the same VLAN of my LAN Network where i have PC/desktops etc. Will it cause any issue or problem.

Hi All, I have a problematic situation the thing is that due to some limitation i can not have a new VLAN configured. so is it possible if i put the Meraki security cameras in the same LAN network VLAN. I know the good practice is to keep the security camera in seperate VLAN. but i just wanted to know will it be a problem if i keep the Meraki security camera in same VLAN as LAN network. Thanks

Dear All, I would like to know as i am using MX65 for small client and it has 2 PoE+ ports. I just wanted to know incase if i need just 2 or 3 more extra PoE port. I do not want to go and buy a PoE switch for the customer as it would be expensive for them, but i would like to know if i will connect the PoE unmanaged switch of HP. Will it work ?

Thanks for your response. The question I am having from my client is that why Enterprise license is called Enterprise when it's not securing providing the Enterprise Level of Protection. The point is that if someone visit the bad page it will not be blocked in Enterprise License ? Correct Thanks

@AjitKumar Why you are specifying All 24 ports in front of 48 port PoE switch. 48LP (Low Power) - All 24 ports will be PoE with a Power Budget of 370W 48FP (Full Power) - All 24 ports will be PoE with a Power Budget of 740W If i need 24 Port PoE switch all 24 ports should be PoE and if i need 48 Port PoE switch all 48 ports should be PoE.

Hi All, Due to the bad reception in the server room , I can not use the LTE option. So what i was thinking is to connect the Telstra Nightawk via the patch panel and keep this Nighthawk to a place where i will get the good reception and connect all the way via the patch panels or internal cabling to the Internet port of MX. Will this work ? are there any internet drop issue with respect to MX and Nighthawk connecting to the Internet port of the MX. Hi all, I have a user who just want to connect 2-3 Machine as a wired connectivity and 2-3 Devices which include just mobile phone as a wireless connectivity.
